I want to report today
on the current state of economies from my simple understanding thereof. The Japan’s
economy shrunk by 0.9% during this past quarter, and as you see in the first
few tweets it is down 3.5% from last year at this time. The many technology
companies have been struggling to keep up with innovation. I saw many quarterly
reports missing their marks.
The United States is
facing the fiscal cliff as the tax cuts are going to expire and Obamacare is
going to hit us. This is one of the first issues that Obama is working on. This
past week I read that the deficit is narrowing, but the expenditures of the government
are still high.
Today Greece approved
2013’s budget, and the government there finally approved their austerity
measures this past week despite the protests.
Spain is facing hard
times as two people committed suicide for their evictions. The government are
seeking a way to limit evictions as a result.
A French mayor has
been on a hunger strike for greater financial support of his city since the 9th
of November 2012.
The Iranian Government
and it’s industries are facing the worst sanctions of the world, and it’s steel
market is having a very time.
Portugal has a great
struggle as numbering as third as the worst hit with Greece and Spain, but they
seem to be working it out.
