Ponder the experience of your faith, a commitment from my Elders Quorum President

I really believe that pondering is foundational to a testimony because it is a pure action of the spirit, and we develop relationship with the spirits in the world whether it is Satan and his hosts, the Holy Ghost, or the light of Christ. I wonder how people can think of their evil actions, when I can never think of such a thing. I realize that it is because the relationship that the spirit that person has with the spirits in the world. 2 Nephi 2:16 of the Book of Mormon has become a common thing that I teach in classes of mine because I believe it, and people don't often understand the verse.

"Wherefore, the Lord God gave unto man that he should act for himself. Wherefore, man could not act for himself save it should be that he was enticed by the one or the other."

This is another understanding of the verse that I learned today. Another thing that I learned today, concerning pondering, is that it is important to recognize as a spirit person in the mind and pondering what you know in the same way that I have expressed before. The spirit of God will bring to remembrance what you know, quoting from the Bible. Make sure that you don't forget what is important. In life we learn important concepts when we are obedient to God's will; therefore, we develop a relationship with his spirit. This spirit wants a relationship with us, working with God to bless us. Upon living and obedience according to God's will, the Holy Spirit will communicate to us what is true and thus a testimony is cultivated. For example paying tithing, is giving 10% of what we earn a true concept? Is the church requiring money from us unjustly, or are we stealing from God? We can learn these things when we practice the commandments; however, we may not recognize the true of the commandment until we ponder, developing a relationship with the spirit of God.
