-A report was released saying the NYC doesn’t do much to discipline its bad police officers.
-Arnie Duncan is stepping down as secretary of education. John B King will replace him.
-the ship El Faro and its 33 crew members is missing near hurricane Joaquin.
-a shooter targeted Christians at Umpqua community college. 9 were killed and 9 were injured.
-The Vatican made a point of saying that the pope’s meeting with Kim Davis was not a sign of support.
-6 states declared a state of emergency in preparation for hurricane Joaquin.
-Canada plans to make a phone line so people can call in on Muslims using ‘barbaric cultural practices’.
-South Africa is losing a minimum of one person a day to Isis recruitment.
-The US told Russia to fight Isis instead of Syrian rebels.
- Someone set A California Planned Parenthood clinic on fire.
-Obamacare costs went up 50% in Minnesota.

So in the world of today:
-A package containing an Isis threat, involving a child’s alleged kidnapping was found in New York.
-New Zealand laid claim to a giant portion of the ocean for environmental reasons.
-Russia was found to have tried 5 times to hack Clinton’s emails.
-Afghanistan got Kunduz back.
-Argentina’s president announced that the US suggested that they send nuclear materials to Iran in 2010. The White House confirmed.
-A Chinese woman found a spider had spun a web in her ear and was living there.
-9/11 responders are losing their benefits.
-The secret service admitted to violating rep. Jason Chavez’s privacy.
-A Chicago suburb is not letting a Muslim community build a worship center. The federal government is suing.
So in the world of today:
• Warren Jeff’s kids told the press that he sexually molested them.
• Cecile Richards (president for Planned Parenthood) had to go before congress. She admitted that none of the centers do mammograms.
• A study found that the US and Europe have been largely unsuccessful in stopping people from joining Isis.
• Cuba wants Guantanamo back.
• The DA in Nassau New York told employees they were not permitted to own guns, even at home.
So in the world of today:
-Boehner resigned from congress.
-The Pope called for protection of the environment, housing and labor groups, and criticized uneven wealth distribution. He also came out in favor of the Iran Deal.
-Syrian rebels was caught giving US arms to Al Qaeda.
-The Obama administration found a chain of work emails Clinton failed to turn over.
-A Saudi Prince was arrested in California for sexual assault.
So in the world of today:
-New home sales are at their highest since 2008.
-at least 717 people were killed and near 800 injured in a stampede near Mecca.
-An elementary school in Ithaca NY invited a convicted terrorist to speak to its third graders.
So in the world of today:
-Iran told the US to stop trying to free Americans imprisoned there.
-Guatemala’s congress voted to prosecute President Molina.
-150 of Clinton's most recently released emails contained classified information.
-The US will pay a defense contractor’s legal bills in Iraq (30 million).

-The Governor of Alaska refused to meet with President Obama.
-Obama is renaming Alaska’s Mt. McKinley to Denali.
-North Dakota legalized armed drones.
-Two western Journalist were arrested in Turkey on Terror charges.
-A Saudi Airstrike in Yemen killed 34 civilians.
-Iran is constructing something at a site where they were recently suspected of developing nuclear arms.
-South Korea’s President met with the Chinese.
